- How long does it take from school to the Metropolitan of Tokyo
- It takes about 45 minutes by JR Chuo Line directly to Shinjuku Station ,with no transfer required.
- How many students are there per class?
- In each class, there are approximately 10 to 20 students per class.
- What are the nationalities of students?
- Our students come from all over the world, including China, Korea, Viet Nam, Myanmar, Taiwan, England, France, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Cambodia, Bangladesh, Nepal, Philippines, Uzbekistan, Indonesia, Thailand, India, Mongolia, and many other countries.
- I would like to go to a Japanese university. Are there any preparation courses for Examination for Japanese University (EJU)?
- Yes, we have a preparation course for EJU addition to Japanese language lessons. Subjects are “Japan and the world” and “Mathematics.”
- Does Tokyo International Exchange College provide the accommodations for students.
- Yes, male and female Dormitories are accommodated in different locations outside our campus.
- Can I get English, Chinese, Vietnamese assisstance?
- Yes, there are English, Chinese, Vietnamese language assisstants available on campus. Please feel free to ask any question.
- I have problems with learning Kanji. Do you offer kanji class?
- Although Kanji class is not devided separately, however Kanji is being taught from the begining level (N5) depending on each class.
- Can I have a part-time job with a student visa?
- After you receive the Certificate of Work permit by the Immigration Bureau of Japan, you are permitted to have a part-time job within 28 hours a week which is established by the Immigration-Control and Refugee-Recognition Act.
- I would like to know some past college and graduate school admission results.

- Regarding financial documents, can I represent myself as the financial guarantor?
- The applicant can be fully or partially self-sponsored in some cases. For more information, please contact us.
- Does Tokyo International Exchange College have a library?
- Yes, we have a library in our school. We have the books of study consisting of the following individual collections: Linguistics, Japanese Studies, Japanese Literature, English, etc. The library is also used as a study room.

- Can I observe the class or do a free trial before enrolling?
- Of course! Your visiting is always welcomed. In order to understand the program better, we recommend you observe a class before enrollment.
- When can I sign-up for class?
- You can sign-up anytime during weekdays. (Mon – Fri)
- What documents do I need for entry?
- Documents needed for entry into the audit course are:
- Application Form (available on campus)
- Passport
- Alien registration card (for holders only)
- One ID photo (3 cm × 4 cm)

- Our students come from all over the world, including China,Taiwan, Korea, Viet Nam, England, France, Singapore, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, America, Cambodia, Bangladesh, Nepal, Philippines, Uzbekistan, Indonesia, Thailand, India, Mongolia and many other countries.
- Can I extend the lessons if I absent myself?
- When you are absent without notice, you cannot extend lessons. However, when you inform the long-term absence 3 days ahead, you can extend the lessons. (*This only applies to Audit course students.)
- Can I get partial tuition refund if I decide to quit the school?
- It is a one-time payment for each term. There is no refund for leaving before the end of term.
- Who will be my teacher?
- All Tokyo International Exchange College teachers are native speakers of Japanese who are fully-qualified in teaching Japanese.
- Is there any lower or upper age limit to apply for the course?
- There is no specific age limit to apply for the course. However, Tokyo International Exchange College assumes that all students are able act with a proper level of maturity and responsibility.
- Can I go to school by bicycle?

- Parking a bicycle is basically forbidden according to our policy, but we can consult with the special case. Please contact us.
- We do not have a parking lot with ample parking space, so you are kindly requested not to come to the school by bicycle if your residence is within 20 minutes walking distance,
- By Hachioji ordinance, bicycles left on the streets will be removed. If your bicycle has been removed, you must pay a ¥3,000 removal fee to Hachioji city. Tokyo International Exchange College will not be responsible for this matter.
- Can I go to school by motor-cycle?
- The school parking lot is for teacher only. However, lots of one hour free parking places are located near the school.
- Does Tokyo International Exchange College have a car parking lot?
- There is no car parking space available at the school. However, lots of one hour fee parking places are located near the school.
- Do you have a prep course for the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT)?
- The class curriculum is divided into four areas: reading, listening, kanji and grammar. We also include timed practice testing, utilizing actual JLPT tests.
- I cannot speak Japanese very well. Can I get English, Chinese, Vietnamese assisstance?
- Yes, there are English, Chinese, Vietnamese language assisstants available on campus. Please fell free to ask any question.

- The cost of living is greatly affected by the type of accommodations you require. However, the house rent would be from \35,000 monthly near school.
